Lace Frontal, Lace Closure, 360 Full Lace: Which One To Choose?
Let's start by defining what "Lace" is. A Lace is a hair accessory that mimics the appearance of the scalp using tulle. All Lace consists of skin-colored or transparent tulle (or a silk base) on which the hair is hand-stitched one by one.
Once placed on the head, the Lace blends perfectly with the skin color and the hair stitched into the Lace creates an effect of hair growing directly from the scalp. At HonestHairFactory.Com, all of our ready-to-wear wigs are made with Lace Frontal, 360 Full Lace.
Different Types Of Laces
"Lace Frontal", "Lace Closure", and "Lace 360"... it's hard to pretend not to have heard these terms in recent years. But are you really able to explain the main differences between these different types of Lace? No worries, we're here for that! ;)
In the following article, we will answer all these questions and explain the main differences between a Lace Frontal, a Lace Closure, and a 360 Full Lace.
What is a Lace Frontal?
The Lace Frontal covers the front of the head. Planted from one ear to the other, the Lace Frontal naturally reproduces the hairline. Bundles of hair come to close the weaving or wig on the rest of the skull surface.
There are two types of Lace Frontals: Lace Frontals made on a 100% tulle base and Lace Frontals with a tulle base and a small central silk portion. As with all Laces, the choice between the two materials depends on personal preferences.
Generally, Lace Frontals measure thirteen inches in length and four inches in depth (33cm x 10cm). There are also Lace Frontals measuring 13 x 6 (33cm x 15cm), but these are less common.
Just like you, you've probably already dreamed of styling your weave or wig with a voluminous half ponytail like our favorite stars... The Lace Frontal is the hair accessory we all need!
Why choose a Lace Frontal?
The main advantage of the Lace Frontal is that it allows for a hairstyle that pulls back and discreetly reveals the forehead in a very natural way.
The hairline is designed to perfectly follow the contours. Of course, the work of the "baby hair" (by your super stylist or by yourself if you are a DIY queen) brings a special finish.
Of course, the price being an important aspect, the Lace Frontal is slightly cheaper than the Lace 360.
What is a Lace Closure?
A Lace Closure is a hair accessory that is placed on the central part of the front of the head and allows for a hairstyle with an undetectable part. Bundles of hair strands close the weave or wig on the rest of the scalp surface.
The Lace Closure, which can be made of tulle (Lace) or silk (silk), generally measures 4 inches in length and 4 inches in depth (10cm x 10cm).
It can have one or more defined parts, but there are also closures without any parts. At Exteeend you will find Lace Closures with a central part and Lace Closures without a part.
Why use a Lace Closure?
The main advantages of a Lace Closure are as follows:
Giving a natural appearance to the placement of weaves and wigs without having to suffer from breakage of our natural frontal hair. In fact, the hairs implanted one by one on the tulle give the impression once the Lace Closure is placed on the head, that the hair grows directly from the scalp.
The price of Lace Closures is more attractive than that of its two colleagues (Lace Frontal and Lace 360).
Because it is essential to keep the Closure in good condition in the long run, its small surface makes it easier to maintain.
What is 360 Full Lace?
The 360 Lace is a Lace that is implanted all around the head. It follows the contours of the scalp, passing around the forehead, around the neck, and around the entire head. Bundles of hair strands close the weave or wig above the scalp. Like the Lace Closure and the Lace Frontal, the 360 Lace imitates the scalp and is undetectable.
Made on a tulle base, the dimensions of the 360 Lace are 57cm (complete tour), 5cm (width in the neck), 10cm (width on the forehead).
Ponytail, bun, high ponytail... you have deprived yourself of realizing these hairstyles for a long time. They are all achievable with the 360 Lace... what more could you ask for.
Why choose a 360 Lace?
The main advantage of the 360 Lace is that it allows for a more natural and seamless look.
