The regular comb is 1/2 wide tooth and then half is very close teeth. this comb is ideal for wig hair trimming because you can easily get those knots out with the wider side and then you can perfect the hair and smooth it out with the closer teeth. However, a regular comb is nice to use for styling purposes, because you can get such a good grip on it. And with the rat tail comb, the grip isn't as nice and as thick as the regular comb. It depends on what kind of grip you want. you can use the regular comb to backcomb, it’s a pretty versatile tool and great for many things.

The wide-tooth comb is essential to combing out knots when the wig is wet. It’s super gentle on the knots and not going to pull hair out of the wig. you can work from the bottom up, the really wide spaces in between of the bristles help to not get much pulling and gentle on the hair.

- Teasing Brush/Comb -

A teasing brush or a teasing comb is often used as more of a tool to brush out the teasing when styling the wig. Typically, using a rat tail comb first and then use the teasing comb to brush out the backcombing that had previously been put in with the rat tail comb brush. and that's because this brush does a nice job of smoothing out the hair and not detangling it. When you're backcombing, you do want to keep those tangles in there, because that is what's creating the volume. This is a great brush to go over at the top of the hair web and smooth out that teasing. And because it has boar bristle brushes, it is great at adding shine and gently detangling and not pulling out hair, and also keeping the volume intact.
